Shri Abhishek Mishra was a person of extraordinary dynamism, a high profile technocrat, an able administrator, a pragmatic policy maker, a great visionary and above all, he was a socially conscious person. He was an alumnus of Pt. Ravishankar University, Raipur (C.G).
He was born and brought up in Bhilai which is famous for its colossus steel plant in India. He did his schooling in the elite Delhi Public School, Bhilai. He obtained his graduate degree in BE (CSE) from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University.
His varied tastes and versatile knowledge left their indelible marks on many spheres of human activity. He was an ambitious entrepreneur and entered the building construction activity but abandoned it as is did not suit his conscious. He entered the film industry and produced films and documentaries which have a bearing on the social and human aspects. He was an ardent lover of sports and had owned the Raipur Rangers Tennis Team. He was appointed member of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, recognized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Govt. of Chhattisgarh. He was instrumental in establishing Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital at Junwani, Bhilai.
The contributions made by him in the field of education were no less. He introduced a number of innovative methods which transformed the work culture of all the institutions of the society. These have resulted in enhancing the quality of education. The Out Come Based Learning on which he focused his attention has yielded rich dividends to the students to equip them with the required skills and content. The SAMVID, a Techno Cultural Festival, conceived by him and held annually at SSTC, Junwani, Bhilai, vividly depicts the social, cultural and intellectual talents of the students, besides fostering the spirit of unity and togetherness among the participates from across the country.
Realising that school buildings have ever lasting influence on the minds of the students who spent a good deal of time in schools, he had got a beautifully designed and decorated school building constructed for Shri Shankaracharya Vidyalaya, Hudco, Bhilai to create healthy, beautiful and refreshing environment.
He was possessed of great personnel magnetism and it was due, undoubtedly, to his ability that our organization has almost an unassailable position than those engaged in similar venture.
